The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Windows Server 2003 credential is intended for IT professionals who work in the typically complex computing environment of medium to large companies. An MCSE candidate should have at least one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system. Passing the Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network exam counts as credit toward the following certification(s):

• Types of Questions: This exam is given in a case study format, which can be a little more challenging. Some tips for taking an exam in case study format are: As you read through the case study, make notes so you don’t have to try to find them in the case study later. Pay particular attention to the Business Requirements section. This is the section that you'll be referencing the most. Be sure to take advantage of the Review All button after you finish a case study and check all of your answers.
• Number of Questions: You will have approximately 5 case studies with 4 to 10 questions per case study with a total of 35 questions. Once you finish a particular case study and move on to the next, you cannot go back and review those questions.
