I am pleased to announce that I finally passed the 1z0-809 exam. The material I used was Jeanne Boyarsky's book "OCP STUDY GUIDE", which explains in a very practical way all the topics of the exam. Many practices to assimilate the results. There are too many questions about lambdas and streams, but this test is difficult. I recommend looking for very similar examples of real questions online, because there are many useful links to this test.

A and B are the correct answers

It is a very confusing question. The databases behave in different ways when the connection parameters are indicated (TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE or CONCUR_UPDATABLE). For example, TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE does not work in many databases. It is recommended to use SQL statements to modify tables. I did not think the correct answer was A. I even copied the entire source and in my Derby database, it did not give an error or update the record with the name "Jack", so I still doubt what the correct answer will be. .ç

On page 200 of Chapter 8, Question 4 ask "When starting a new asynchronous request, under what conditions will always be an exception thrown?".

option "A" is given as wrong answer, but I have my doubts. It says: "Any Attempt to start a second aynchronous cycle in the same client request".

On page 191 of the same chapter it explains that "To prevent a dispatching loop (Particularly When the no-argument dispatch () is used), any one of the dispatch methods can only be called once in the same aynchoronus cycle (started by the startAsync () invocation on ServletRequest). Any aditional dispatch invocation, Within the same cycle, will cause an IllegalStartException to be thrown on the second or subsequent Attempts.

Remember that answer "A" says (in page 200): "in the same client", not second nor other, (I mean). I think that answer A cause an exception. Is this correct? May be this answer wrong?

Yesterday, 2016/Jan/14, I passed the exam 1Z0-851 Java Standard Edition 6 Programmer. I got 68%. It was urgent to take OCP and this is easier than Java 8 will try soon.

I just made the OCA Java SE 8 (1Z0-808) exam with a score of 71% in the third attempt. In the first two, I got a frustrating 47% and 60%, but had only six weeks to prepare for the exam. The material I used was the book tests OCA Java SE 7 Mala Gupta and excellent book OCA certification preparation, by Jeanne Boyarsky. I did my training with tests of any of the books and internet, javaprepare.com, although there are old and too easy. In my first review, I not yet knew the excellent book by Boyarsky mentioned and some 20 questions left unanswered for lack of time. In the second, I improved my time answering each and finally in the third, I managed to pass but not on a high note. I am a teacher and already had experience in Java, got the SCJP certification for Java 2 in 2001. My next target is the second exam OCP Java 8. I think I will rely on the book OCP Boyarsky and Jeanne Scott Selikoff. I have not tried the software testing Enthuware, which seems to be highly recommended and for the examination of OCP, which seems much more difficult than the OCA.
