My Score on the Enthuware Test are 50-60 %, and not more than that . I write code here and there but use Eclipse.

I am following the OCA Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 programmer I by Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff. I also have Enthuware Test Studio. I also have a good knowledge of the book, but I didn't get good score on the Enthuware practice test. I often see that the question in the practice test are outside of the materials covered in the book. Is there anyboy out there who can guide me the right way. is there somebody who passed the certification exam without Enthuware practice test. I find this practice test way harder the practice examples in the book.

Answer for Mock Exam 4, question 9 (Java OCA 8 Programmer I Study Guide)

Roel and Jeanne, if you look at the text book page number 206 table 4.5. It states, " The method name must have a prefix of set/get/is, followed by the first letter of the property in uppercase, followed by the rest of the property name". Then this saying is wrong. I had also found that answer was not right.

Confusing line of Code on Page 312, Chapter 6 (Java OCA 8 Programmer I Study Guide)

I have copied and pasted the code from page 312. I did notice that the the line number 6 throws the compile time error asking you to either declare or handle it. This is little confusing for me, since this code by itself conveys that it compiles without any other support.

Solution 1: Declaring within the main method or any other instance or Static method.

Solution 2: Surround with Try catch

Thank you Roel and Jeanne for the kind reply, I agree with Roel, once you it is required(which is mandatory), you are not allowed(optional). I also think that these two rules don't fit together.

If code starts without the line number, it does not have the package and import information as well.

#4. This co-variant rule does not apply for primitive types(it can have different return type on parent and child class). It applies to non-primitive types.

I am just confused on the size that Boolean data type takes, is it 1bit/Byte or just True/False. I believe there should be something in terms of bit/byte.

Thank you Roel again for you kind reply. I was thinking the interface methods and default interface methods were little different. My assumption was there was a difference, if we are including the default interface methods, then the Book is correct.
