I am using
Java 21. Below is my class definition
The above is stored as a JSON in MYSQL table column called "settings". I added "isReconciled" flag to the class. Example data for the above is

"globalSetting":"ABC",
"memoSetting":"TEST memo"
}
When I fetch the data (settingsRepository.findById()), I am getting it as follows
{
"legalEntitySetting":null,
"globalSetting":"ABC",
"memoSetting":"TEST memo",
"isReconciled": "false"
}
Why isn't the Builder.Default not working and initializing the isReconciled flag to true?
