FAIL - Failed to deploy application at context path [/demonstracao]

I'm developing an JAVA Maven WEB project in Netbeans and I started the tests phases until that I lost my windows system, after install of windows I can't to run my project in Netbeans I am receiving this error, the restore of windows 10 is made by Samsung recovery option. I don' t have any idea to solve this problem.

Seeing as the error you are getting says that Tomcat can't deploy the application, you should already know to check the Catalina logs.

I can't see problem in catalina log.

nobody knows how to solve this?

I solved this problem doing uninstall Tomcat 10 and intalling Tomcat 9.

Had a very similar issue recently. Old computer was using NetBeans 8.2 which came with Tomcat embedded which was quite handy. But since it's a bit old is that, decided to finally get around to moving to Apache NetBeans 19 + Tomcat 10 which came as separate installs.

Got the projects restored in NetBeans and deployed as usual using the play button but it wasn't working. I was getting the same error.

When I checked my Catalina Log Files (C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 10.1\logs\catalina.yyyy-mm-dd) then I was getting the error

"30-Nov-2023 21:32:39.679 SEVERE [http-nio-8080-exec-2] org.apache.catalina.startup.ExpandWar.copy Error copying [C:\Users\{Username of Logged in Windows User}\AppData\Local\Temp\context3064853893058586338.xml] to [C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 10.1\conf\Catalina\localhost\MyApp.xml]
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\{Username of Logged in Windows User}\AppData\Local\Temp\context3064853893058586338.xml (Access is denied)"

So probably a case of Apache NetBeans and Apache Tomcat running as different users.

Opened up the Tomcat Monitor Configuration (right clicking on the Startup Service in bottom right of task bar), going into the Log On tab, and selecting "This Account" rather than the default of "Local Service Account".

Then pressed play again and everything worked.
