Anyone got recently the badge from Acclaim/Credly related to the 1Z0-829 java se 17 developer exam?

Hi guys,

I approved the 1Z0-829 exam one week ago, a few years ago I applied and approved the Java SE 8 exam and I got my digital badge with a public Credly/Acclaim URL, which contains my badge, and it's still valid and working for anyone to see!!

For this exam I cannot get my badge (just download the image and pdf file), I want to include my  url badge in my resume for easy validation (and in Linkedin).
The only thing I can do it's to publish it to custom emails, a link is created and send from the Oracle page, but the link is only valid for 5 days...

This is not useful for me, please let me know if you got it or if you know something about this?, I couldn't find anything useful about this....

Yes, they don't use Acclaim anymore. You can write on your CV that a verification link is available on request if someone needs to see it.

I was having the same question - I  was able to download the badge at the certification center (https://brm-certification.oracle.com/)
Credential Management -> Share Credentials -> Download Badge (was able to download the certificate as well)

It did take a couple of days to show up there

Mine doesn't show that. I think it's because I took the exam before it was 100% ready. This is what I see.

I can still email someone a link to verify my credentials. And this doesn't really matter because my employer and publisher both take me at my word that I passed without asking for evidence anyway.

That's very strange, I get this option, even for my Java 8 certification from 2017 which badge was on Acclaim, I get another url for this one as well:

Thanks for the screenshot. That's good. It means most people can use the approach you described.

My exam is weird. Oracle had the exam available for a short term, pulled it and put it back. I took it in that first window it was available. So I'm willing to call it an edge case.

Got this email from Credly support:

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Credly support. Oracle certification Badges are no longer being issued from Credly for these credentials. The badges for these certifications will only be available in Oracle CertView with sharing and verification capabilities.

You are still able to share your credentials on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and email. We now provide this same feature directly from CertView and not through Credly. The verification link associated with your credential links directly back to Oracle - the source from where you earned the Oracle credential.

I just earned the certification with 72% , when i open Credly i didn't find the badge.
Oracle certification Badges are no longer being issued from Credly for these credentials.
This mean we just share the https://brm-certification.oracle.com/ ?

Yes, Oracle does not support publishing to Credly.

How can they possibly fail to offer an option to share digital certificates? Did they terminate their agreement with Credly? But wasn't Credly acquired by PearsonVue who they use to proctor students? Oh, but of course, Oracle had to go ahead and remove that credential verification lifeline. As if navigating through the labyrinthine process of proving your qualifications wasn't headache-inducing enough! They dish out these shiny digital certs and badges, but recruiters are left trying to make sense of them as the verification process is even more circuitous than the Stelvio pass, ultimately causing talented candidates to miss out on golden job opportunities. It's almost comical how they manage to bungle things up. No wonder Amazon and Azure are streaks ahead in the game.

Imagine applying for a job where the employer is eyeing a move to the cloud, and the recruiter has a slew of candidates fluent in AWS, Azure, and Oracle. The AWS and Azure folks sail through, resumes submitted, while the poor Oracle bunch twiddle their thumbs, waiting on those oh-so-punctual verification emails 🙄. Who do you think the potential client will pick? Hint: it won't be the ones twiddling thumbs.

And let's talk about those exams. Trying to navigate through them is like trying to sprint through quicksand, with UI timeouts and endless loops throwing hurdles at every turn. And now this? What kind of impression does that leave? If the UI's busy, for heaven's sake, use reliable instances or sprinkle your product across all major regions and enable caching in edge locations.

Now, if privacy is truly the concern here, how about offering an opt-in option for those who want it? A little toggle switch for those who dont/want to use Credly/Accredible  for easy, user-friendly credential verification, just like the other kids on the block. But hey, what do I know? It looks as if Oracle is trying to lock people out after their certs have expired with no way whatsoever to prove from Oracle servers that they sat for the certification. What type lof error will the UI throw when the cert has expired?
