Hello,
I would like to thank John Thompson, Dominik Cebula, Jesus and David Mayer for their great tutorials on Spring Framework 5.
This Spring forum and Spring Community forum are also helpful.
The books I highly recommends are Getting Started with Spring Framework 5 (4th edition), Spring In Action (4th and 5th).
Spring and Spring boot documents are must read.

Good luck to those who are taking the exam in the future.

Thanks to all of you.

My advice to those who will be taking this exam is not to memorize the questions/answers of those mock exams being purchased from vendors.
None of the questions are similar to those mock exams. Understanding of the topics is very important.
Don't underestimate the difficulty of the exam. I almost passed out after I finished this tough exam!

I highly recommend Dominik Cebula's first 3 modules which has already covered 40% of the exam objectives.
If you study hard on Dominik's modules, I am sure you will do great on those topics.
(I know Dominik is still working on the other 5 modules.

I am planning to do Java Certification 1zo-815 and than Spring5 certification.

Hi Skumar,
I have very little work related experience with Spring 4.
But I know some EJB 3 which has similar concept with Spring.
It took me 16 months to study.
If you know bean, AOP, transaction, restful services, JPA, servlet and web security, that will help you to pass.
I strongly recommend Dominik Cebula's certification courses on Udemy.

Hi Vladimir,
You can focus more on the annotations instead. You may need to know the counterparts of annotation and XML configuration.
But for this example, focus on Spring boot, Spring boot actuator and Spring boot test.

According to pivotal official study guide, most of the questions should be general

"Please keep in mind that you are expected to have a good working knowledge of all the
topics listed. Most of the questions will be very general, however, you will be asked a few
advanced questions"

But a lot of people shared their scary experience where the exam is really hard and complex with all the scenario based question ?

What is your comment on that ?

I'm still quite confused because I still have no idea bout what the questions on the exam are like, unlike Java OCA and OCP where a lot of mock questions give some idea about the questions on the exam.

I can answer most of the questions on the study guide:

"When you have worked through this guide and know all the answers, we are pretty
confident that you should pass the certification. It’s recommended to do it as soon as
possible and we wish you good luck with it."

But I'm not quite confident to take the real exam yet because a lot of failed exam takers

For the exam topic of "Testing in Spring", do you need to know both JUnit4 or JUnit5 ?

Hi, Sam,
I don't think you need to know a lot about Junit4 or Junit5 for this exam.
This exam does not focus on Junit 5.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
