Passed with a 75% thanks to lots of studying and practice exams. I have a ton of pre-Java8 experience but the Java 8 stuff adds a lot to think about.

I used the following book:

OCP: Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer II Study Guide: Exam 1Z0-809
by Jeanne Boyarsky et al.

I did all the end-of-chapter exams at least once. I did the online Sybex exams that come with the book and earned 53%, 50%, and 53% on the days immediately preceeding the actual test.

In July I earned an 87% on the OCAJ8P Exam 1Z0-808 in July using the book:

OCA: Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide: Exam 1Z0-808
by Jeanne Boyarsky et al.

This is really helpful. I just recently passed the 1Z0-808 exam and found the practice tests much more difficult than the actual exam.

I'm half way through Jeanne and Scott's 1Z0-809 study guide now and hopefully will be taking the exam in the next couple of months.
