Hi,
I am a 14 year-old who just passed the
Java SE 8 Programmer 1 Exam (OCA 8) with an 88% today morning. I studied for the exam in my summer break before I start 9th grade.
The EnthuWare mock exams helped a lot along with the OCA Study Guide by Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff. I also took the OCA Java SE 7 practice exams that came with the Oracle Press book by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates.
I have been studying and learning Java for about a year now and it feels awesome to have some actual certification. My scores on some of the EnthuWare mock exams were a 80%, 83%, 86%, and a 75% (on the good days).
I took 2 and a half hours on the EnthuWare mock exams, but I had 30 minutes left at the end of my real OCA
test when I took it. The EnthuWare tests were harder than the real exam.
I’d like to thank the people who made the EnthuWare mock exams along with the authors that wrote the Oracle Certified Associate Java SE 8 Programmer 1 Study Guide (Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff) and the OCA Java SE 7 Programmer 1 Study Guide (Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates).
I am planning on taking the OCP Java SE 8 Programmer 2 Exam in December when I get my winter break at school. Do you guys have any advice on how to prepare for that exam?
