You are not alone! I am waiting since your date: on 25 August I have completed my essay exam and I am still waiting since 20 weeks!
I wrote to Oracle and they have escaled my issue. They asked me to wait one more week!
I don't like the way Oracle have managed the exam and the queue order. There is not a real order and any information about that.
They are not clear about when I will obtain my result.
The waiting is always very stressing but for this exam it is too stressing.
Anyway I hope that it will finish in a good way.

My assignment was Factory Home, I am still waiting since 10 weeks.
I have not included an LDAP system, it could be used for the login but in my assumption I have assumed that the login/registration phase was out of my scope. The same thought for email system, I haven't used it. So I don't understand why the assessor could require them.

About the submission, I read that in case of failure it is needed to upload only the failed Diagram and not all the SuD.

I have written to Oracle another time and I have received the same response: I must wait 3-4 weeks.
Two week ago they said me to wait 3-4 weeks and now they said me to wait 3-4 weeks ?
It seem that 3-4 weeks is a fixed time, based on a response template that they post for all requests !

My assignment was Factory Home. Took part 3 on 25th August. Today it's the 6th week I am waiting. I wrote to Oracle & got following response on 5th October, I must wait 3-4 more weeks:

I followed Mark Cade's approach for the Deployment Diagram and I am still waiting for the response.
Anyway in my Deployment I have added even the Firewall and the Load Balancer.
For each node I have create an hardware profile as a stereotype and I have explained: CPU, RAM, HDD, RAID, Network Adapter and a quick summary of the machine as a UML Note.
I have added another UML Note for each Tier where I have explained the main caracteristics, critics point and so on, not so much word but just to explain better the reason of my hardware choise.
I haven't added components and artifacts inside the nodes but I have explained in the UML Note the usage of the node.
My application receive request from external but it doesn't request external resource (web services) so I had less security problems.

Do you provide a Load Balancer and a Firewall?
Which type of algorith do you use in the Load Balancer ?
Do you explained the use of HTTP/HTTPS to access the Web Server ?
In your SuD you call an external system (web service) without pass through a firewall, DMZ ?

I don't know if my diagram is ok because my assignment is still in grading but this is what I have done.

Hi all,

I would like to know your opinion if it is right to bind a webservices request and response to a business domain model in a class diagram.
So, if it is true, even a database query and a the resultset could be bind to a BDM.

What do you think about it?

Hi all

In my SuD I have to invoke a webservice exposed by an external system.
The soap request and the soap response contain data of my BDM so I think that I have to map the request and the response to my BDM objects.
For example: I can invoke the webservice to browse a category of component and the external system responde with a list of component.
So the request must bind to my category object and the response must bind my component object ?

I create a BDM object for the request, I should use a BindingHelper to bind the object to SOAP request (es: JAXB ) at this point I use a DAO object to invoke the webservice.
This is the way I could resolve this invoking

What do you think about this approach?
