Quantum Machine Learning is a very active field of research. Quite a bit of work has been performed on developing quantum neural networks, quantum CNNs, quantum GANs, etc. I have seen applications in satellite image processing, and medical image processing, just to name two applications. We at Sopra-Steria/CS work on quantum machine learning algorithms for satellite image processing for the French space agency.
The scientists at Quantinuum are studying quantum approaches to language. Their approach is called Quantum Natural Language Processing — or QNLP — and they have built a toolkit, lambeq.
