I'm trying to just insert an XLSX file into a MySQL large blob field.
However, it all seems to depend on the LOAD_FILE command which isn't working either in MySQL 8.
This command just gives me a null.
So, then I guess it's not unexpected that the INSERT statement that uses this LOAD_FILE() would also fail with null.
The INSERT statement says "1 Row(s) affected." but nothing was inserted. Still Null (0 bytes).
I've tried with other files like zips and such with the same result.

So, how the heck to you get simple BLOB data into a BLOB field?
