Absolutely ec
static to have passed my
OCAJP certification with 75%, not the greatest but at least I passed lol!
Background about me: Studying Computer Science course but have 0, zilch programming experience in terms of a professional sense. Absolutely none. I'm not even a great programmer....yet.
I studied for this exam in just a month, at the start I took an approach that I regret (in hindsight) which was using random Udemy tutorials to study
Java which don't explain in detail what you need to know, I also read the Boyarsky book but I did this every morning where I wasn't in the right mindframe to soak in the information.
I barely used study techniques like active recall/ and not all my methods of studying were effective till around 2 weeks to exam time -- where I literally used 3 things only: Enthuware, CodeRanch and JLS. I feel like the JLS is talked about enough in this forum or in any OCAJP forums enough -- all the information from books is from the JLS. I would highly recommend supplementing your understanding with the JLS.
Taking an exam online was a bit of a struggle to be honest, while I was using the whiteboard feature to trace loops it just kept on disappearing etc. My proctor interrupted my exam with 16 minutes left. But I think it is still a very good option to take the exam from home.
BTW: I was averaging 65% exactly before my last day
test where I scored 81% lol many of the questions on Enthuware are very very very very very very similar ;) ;) to the Pearson ones
Big thanks to Marshal on here for answering many of my questions
