The TSHOOT 300-135 (TSHOOT v2.0) exam has been used to replace the old TSHOOT 642-832 exam so this article is devoted for candidates who took this exam sharing their experience. Please tell with us what are your materials, the way you learned, your feeling and experience after taking the TSHOOT v2.0 exam… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome!

Exam’s Structure:

+ Some Multiple choice questions
+ Some Simlets
+ 13 lab-sim Questions with the same network topology (13 troubleshooting tickets or you can call it one “big” question). Each lab-sim is called a ticket and you can solve them in any order you like.

Topics of the lab-sims:

1- IPv6
2- OSPF
3- OSPFv3
4- Frame Relay
5- GRE
6- EtherChannel
7- RIPng
8- EIGRP
9- Redistribution
10- NTP
11- NAT
12- BGP
13- HSRP
14- STP
15- DHCP

The problems are rather simple. For example wrong IP assignment, disable or enable a command, authentication…

In each tickets you will have to answers three types of questions:

+ Which device causes problem
+ Which technology is used
+ How to fix it

When you press Done to finish each case, you can’t go back.

A demo of the TSHOOT Exam can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le37/le10/tshoot_demo.html

Note:

+ In the new TSHOOTv2, you cannnot use the “Abort” button anymore. Therefore you cannot check the configuration of another ticket before completing the current ticket.

+ We have gathered many questions about TSHOOT exam and posted them at TSHOOT FAQs & Tips, surely you will find useful information about the TSHOOT exam there!

Below are the topologies of the real TSHOOT exam, you are allowed to study these topologies before taking the exam. It surely saves you some invaluable time when sitting in the exam room (Thanks rrg for sharing this).

IPv4 Layer 3 Topology

    May 22nd, 2017

Ok so just recently passed and got 100%
My advice to everyone, pay the $12 on the site Network Tut and you will get premium access. What this will give you is all the questions to practice with as it will appear in the exam. So all the tickets with simulations as well as the bgp question. Dumps cannot help you with this as good as actually practicing and testing yourself. It is 10 times better to use the premium service on here and at $12 it’s virtually for free when you look at what you are getting!
The packet tracer test is good but it’s full of headache as well because it can’t do half the things like route map for example so they substitute with other stuff etc. which is very confusing and more to learn and remember for the exam. Why have something that is 60-70% ok when you can have something for $12 that is 100% ok? I tried practicing with this until I found the premium service and once I got it everything became sooo easy!

pass today 1000 same MCQ SAME BGP simlet same 13 tickets
    I didn’t get a premium account.
If you want to practice without premium account i recomend the packet tracert files from Dinesh (by the way, THANK YOU SO MUCH DINESH) suscribe to his channel, https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkKuRw9Jznp4G9_79HWpbM9lGF6Prqkqg
    ————————-
For pass the examen networktut is enough, but remember, you need real knowledge in the real world, i sugges practice with gns3 and read the official CCNP book before use networktut

Also CBT Nuggets videos are very useful in order to learn
Here you find it https://justpaste.it/170li all in MEGA

    Dear All,

I have just came from routing side that i dont understand how many topology we will receive within exam related ticket. There will be one common topology that all the question is about this topology however each ticket has different configuration ??

  28. Anonymous
    May 23rd, 2017

@yukcell: correct, there is 1 topology. In each ticket they will break something different. It is helpful to get a good understanding of what the working configuration looks like as it will help you troubleshoot during the actual exam a great deal.

Passed today…951/100 and now I am done with CCNP. Did Route first, then Switch and Tshoot last.
premium membership is the way to go. I used the ping plan for tickets.
    6 MCQ and BGP sim
good luck to everyone…see you all again in 2 1/2 yrs!!!

    Hello
Congrats. can you please tell us which ping plan you used?

  31. ICE
    May 23rd, 2017

    Dear All,

I am preparing for the Tshoot exam and I understand that there are three topologies in the exam (IPv4 Layer 3 topology, IPv6 topology and layer 2/3 topology).

My question is, is it one topology (IPv4 Layer 3 topology) that has been split into separate topologies (IPv6 topology and layer 2/3 topology) to represent different parts of the main topology (IPv4 Layer 3 topology).

If yes, does that mean my “show command” , “ping command” or whichever command I issue in any of the devices in any of the topologies produce the same results.

Also does that mean that I can use any of the topologies to troubleshoot the tickets.

Please I need some clarifications on these. Thanks

  32. Jk
    May 23rd, 2017

    Hi ICE.
there is only one topology and All the tickets relate that topology. In the exam time it your responsibilty to knew the problem if its leyar3 or layer or ipv6 . I took my exam yesterday 951

    hi guys!!!!

    Passed today.

be carefull tickets ipv6. I don´t saw any description about it in scenarios.

My suggestion: If cliente 1 ping 209.65.200.241,it´s a probable ipv6 ticket.

    Thanks!!!!

    ICE

Did you use the ping plan? what kind of tickets did you have?

  36. Giargia
    May 23rd, 2017

    Hello everyone.

I just passed my route exam and now preparing tshoot.
So, from I’ve read so far, we topologies and related tickets.

    My questions are:
    – Are the MCQ included in the premium account?
    – What’s exactly the ping plan?

    Thank you.

  37. Fucboi
    May 23rd, 2017

    Just study the BGP simlet?

  38. nikoli
    May 23rd, 2017

    Passed 1***. 6MQC, BGP sim, and 12 tickets (all 3 ipv6).

All materials are still 100% relevant and all you really need.

    Recommendations
-I highly recommend doing the packet-tracer tickets, they are mostly relevant and great
    practice
    – Know and understand the topology
    – Know and understand the technology
    – Actually _solve_ and fix the issues in packet-tracer, this will help immensely.
    – Track tickets as you work them, device, technology, and then ‘fix’, will help when verify
    submitted tickets

Finally, really try and practice configuring this stuff, it will help a lot more than just memorizing. Also, if you get lost you’ll be able to work you’re way out for sure :)

  39. nikoli
    May 23rd, 2017

@fucboi: I’d recommend at least looking at the others, I can’t say they aren’t included for sure. If you know the tech they’re pretty straightforward.

@ICE: Yes, it is one network. But it has 3 topology diagrams. A l2 view of the network, a l3 ipv4 view, and an ipv6 view of network. Not everything is running ipv6. That runs RIP_ng and ipv6 OSPF.

  40. nikoli
    May 23rd, 2017

@Giargia: You don’t need premium for the questions, they’re available for download, it is a list of 20 and they’re definitely up to date.

Ping plan: I used pinging far end to see how far out I could get and then work my way down. There is some nuance to it but it works well and helps figure out where your issues are pretty quick. Do your pings from the client. Traceroute from DSW1 just wasted time.
