RHCE 7 Exam Presentation
The RHCE exam (Red Hat Certified Expert), also called EX300, is a performance-based exam lasting 3 hours and half, focusing on service configuration on RHEL 7 (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7).
You can take the exam in a classroom setting monitored by a proctor or in a Individual Exam Session (IES) remotely monitored. A FAQ about IES is available on the Red Hat website.
You need to pass both RHCSA & RHCE exams to become certified RHCE (you can take both exams in any order, but as the RHCE exam requires very advanced knowledge compared to the RHCSA exam, it is normally logical to take the RHCSA exam before).
If you’ve got a valid RHCSA 6 certification, you can directly take the RHCE 7 exam without taking the RHCSA 7 exam.

Red Hat provides a FAQ about its certification program and one about the Red Hat Learning Subscription service (RHLS).
Red Hat exams are covered by a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement): anybody taking an exam can’t talk about it. For this reason, all quiz or sample exams in this website are based on exam objectives and not on real questions, even though the level of difficulty is similar.
After taking the exam and in the next three days, you will receive an email with your result (the pass mark is 210 out of 300). But you will never know what part you succeeded or what part you failed!

What version of RHEL 7 is the current RHCE tested on?

I understand there are differences in the ways things should be done depending on the version. Could you please elaborate on what these may be and if its a big concern when picking a version for labs for the RHCE exam.
Although Red Hat UK answered RHEL 7.1 was used in the RHCSA/RHCE exams, it seems RHEL 7.0 is still the most currently used versions.

My next challenge is to take the EX300 exam, but for it I need to practice a lot. It would be good whether you make a RHCE 7 Sample.

I think about it but it’s not something easy to do.
The Difficulty with Sample Questions is that they only point in one direction, or one line of thinking.
I would suggest Print off the Exam Objectives, and work through all the Solutions. Add variation to the samples. The procedures change for different versions of Centos(7.0, 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3). So do the objectives on different version of the OS.

RHEL version used during the exam is always a difficult question to answer. Probabilities should be evenly distributed between RHEL 7.0, RHEL 7.1 and RHEL 7.2.

I have passed RHCE exam yesterday in my first attempt. Thanks to you and Tomas. These two sites are really helpful (in addition to Sander video course). Exam was not very difficult but very long and I took me whole 3.5 hours to complete without having much time to recheck. I completed RHCSA exam in just 1 hour and 25min with full marks but this one took me full time plus I lost 30 points but got the certificate in the end.

Does anyone know if RHCSA objectives are also in the RHCE exam? For instance would we need to know how to reset the root password of a server?
When taking the RHCE exam you are supposed to master the RHCSA exam objectives.
However, I seriously doubt you will be asked to reset the root password of a server because this may take some time and time is very valuable in this exam.
In short, you shouldn’t be tested on that point but it’s better to know how to do it.
RHCSA objectives are not in the RHCE exam, but you obviously need to know RHCSA stuff.
